Your map brings up something I hadn't realized before, it would appear that a lot of Indonesians travel by rail as there are so many lines near the hamlet. There seem to be almost as may rail lines as roads.

Bandung (ANTARA News) - Two more suspected bird flu patients were admitted to Rotin Sulu Hospital in Bandung, West Java, on Thursday.

The new patients were identified by their initials as At, 14, and Rn, 27, both from Sumedang district. They arrived at the Bougenville room at the hospital at 1 a.m. on Thursday.

Chairman of the hospital`s bird flu management team dr. Tammy Juwono Syarif in the company of team member dr. Asril said the two patients had the body temperature of over 38 degrees Celcius.

"The patients only have high temperature. They don`t have breathing problem," Tammy said.

But according to information from their family and the Sumedang hospital which referred the two patients to Rotin Sulu Hospital, they ever had direct contact with dead fowls near their respective houses.

"Based on the information, we believe that the two patients have been infected with bird flu virus," Tammy said.

The two patients were the second and the third who were admitted to Rotin Sulu Hospital which backs up Hasan Sadikin Hospital also in the city in treating suspected bird flue patients.

Earlier on Wednesday, a suspected bird flu patient was also admitted to Rotin Sulu Hospital.

Meanwhile, seven suspected bird flu patients in Flamboyant room at Hasan Sadikin Hospital gradually got well as of Thursday and would soon be discharged.

Two women who died of bird flu at Persahabatan hospital in Jakarta last Friday took the overall human death toll from the disease to 61 amid a spike of new cases.

They have 8 beds or so in Isolation Ward, so if you have 7 BF patients, not much extra beds...

I suspect this is a new confirmed case. I can't find him listed as a suspect either, although he's been in hospital for 3 days.

Majalengka: the bird flu Virus attacked Majalengka, West Java.

This latest patient is from Majalengka. Majalengka borders Sumedang to the west (with 4 patients at last count) and just north of Bandung and Garut (where the number of patients is on the order of 10 or so). But who knows. These numbers are so transitory.
