  • Ambien used to treat comatosed stroke patient

College student wakes from coma after being treated with Ambien
Ambien (zolpidem) is a sedative. The student suffered 8 strokes described in the video as massive. After treatment the patient was able to talk and do math. He said he was aware of what was going on around him before treatment but was unable to communicate. According to the article the effects of the drug only lasts for a limited amount of time after each dose is taken. This patient's family is having trouble finding a doctor willing to advise with the care of their son with the off lable usage of Ambien. There is a study being done in the US to reseach this use of Ambien and brain injuries at Philladelphia's Mosrehab by a Doctor John Whyte, MD, PhD and Director, MRRI.
We were put on this earth to help and take care of one another.
