          --------------------------------
01 : quite different from the H9N2 in China
          02 : H1N1p ? ... yes
          I readed: 19,09,10,(20),(23),24,
          I want to read: 08,20,

          ----------------------------
          08
          > ferrets infected by highly transmissible influenza viruses exhale a greater number
          > of aerosol particles and more infectious virus within respirable aerosols compared
          > to ferrets infected by influenza viruses that do not readily transmit.

well, presumably not always. Only the viruses that they tested.
Some viruses are not transmissible because they don't bind, replicate so well,
are vulnerable to immunity, can't survive so well in the environment etc.
Exhaling is only part of the process
          --------------------------------------------------------
          20

121446 risk-group patients in NL,2009/10 with an average follow-up time of 75.8 days per
person (SD 22.2) from week 49 onwards.
          VE against ILI: 39%(5-19),42%(20-49),18%(50-59),-36%(60-79)

          crude VE in preventing RT-PCR confirmed influenza was 73.3% (95%CI: 4.8%, 92.5%)
          crude VE in preventing RT-PCR confirmed influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 was 88% (95%CI:25%, 98%)
          (small sample size)

I assume that was the Pandemrix vax

          -------------------------------------------------
          other studies:

This is in line with findings from a large study by Castilla et al [5], who conducted a cohort
study in children (1–17 years) and persons over 60 years, evaluating the VE of the MF59™-
adjuvanted influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 vaccine against medically attended ILI. Similar to our
findings, the VE in persons over 60 in their study was 25% (95%CI: −19%, 53%).

A test negative case control study evaluated the VE of the MF59™-adjuvanted influenza
A(H1N1)pdm09 against laboratory confirmed influenza A(H1N1)pdm09 infection in a general
population ≥10 years of age in Korea. Only14% had underlying disease. They found a VE
          of 73.4% (95%CI: 49.1%, 86.1%) against laboratory confirmed influenza A(H1N1)pdm09
infection [6], which did not vary significantly with age, supporting the theory that our findings
are due to the lack of specificity of our endpoint rather than the vaccine

          -----------------------------------------------------------
