Your Linode, FluTrackers, has exceeded the notification threshold (90) for CPU Usage by averaging 139.5% for the last 2 hours.......

        ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please note that ips from China have "read" over 103k pages in the last 3 days. The number of hits is almost identical to the number of pages. This means almost none of the viewers read anything else on the site. This is the character of a DOS bot. They have a target link and they hit it. They do not read the site.

            • Yesterday due to a DDOS attack our server CPU was at 102.9% of capacity for over 2 hours but our tech time was able to keep us online:

              To: flutrackers@earthlink.net
Subject: Linode Alert - CPU Usage - FluTrackers

...CPU Usage by averaging 102.9% for the last 2 hours....

Later in the early evening our server company was experiencing a "catastrophic" DDOS attack which is spread across hundreds of ips.

After a few hours the situation stabilized.

              Then the attacks started again:

              To: flutrackers@earthlink.net
Subject: Linode Alert - CPU Usage - FluTrackers
              Date: Sep 4, 2016 12:16 AM

...CPU Usage by averaging 103.6% for the last 2 hours....

Followed by a total outage at our server company again. 13:54 UTC is 9:54 am ET:

Identified - The attacks in Atlanta have returned and are significantly impacting connectivity. We are working toward mitigation.
              Sep 4, 13:54 UTC .

Welcome to Linode's home for real-time and historical data on system performance.

              ---------------------------------------------------

This is ridiculous. We will always come back online.

                    • We have been running slow this week. Part of the reason is excessive load on the server :

                        • Hi Everyone. It has been a long time since I updated this thread.

So in this outbreak we continue to have attempts to get into our server.

I recommend that everyone change their FluTrackers password and email.

Also, remember that nothing on the internet is really protected. We have warned about this for years.

Thank you for participating. Many people via emails and twitter have said we helped them understand the COVID-19 threat when officials were down playing the risk.

                          Take care everyone.

We were hacked today. Our management did not send out any request for donations via a digital currency. - March 4, 2021

....and our email account has been getting a lot of these type of spam in the last few days. Attention hackers! I do not open these type of emails and I do not click on random links:

                              • I want to thank everyone who sticks with us.

Today linuxkidd saved the day again!

We are NOT GOING TO CHANGE (you !*%$#!@ hackers.)

We are not political. We are not religious. We do not accept corporate or government aid/donations. We do not accept ads.

In this pandemic we are not accepting any offer of donations.

                                We can not be bought.

Eventually it is possible that an attack will take us down. Hopefully not. But in the meanwhile, we do everything we can to stay online.

Stay safe everyone and as always....use at least two sources for your news...and use your common sense.
