I am sad to report another death of a flublogia founder, pogge, who was instrumental in the establishment and maintenance of Flu Wiki.

The Flu Wiki Forum community was stunned to learn of the sudden death of David (Rob) Robin Hills, aka pogge.
Our site administrator since our founding in 2005, pogge was as much a part of the community and the effort as any of us.
The following obituary appeared online:
'Obituary for Mr. David (Rob) Robin Hills
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa on July 6, 2014. Will be greatly missed by brother Glenn (Sandra), nephew Daryl (Nancy) and niece Carly (Rob). Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
To send flowers to the family of Mr. David (Rob) Robin Hills please visit our Sympathy Store.'
We don't really have any information about what happened. I was in touch with Rob in late June with no foreshadowing.
Rob was originally recruited for the site by one of our founders, the late Melanie Mattson. With them gone, and revere retired, and with a tremendous amount of input from SusanC along the way, that leaves me from the original crew.
Now the effort and work is done by all of you.
Pogge was also the site administrator for the wiki side, now offline and likely to stay so. The wiki takes some expertise to manage, it's quite a bit more expensive to run than this forum site and was getting out of date for lack of use.
It was innovative in its day, and we pushed the feds to have a much more robust web presence (which they now do, including their highly active social media side). But despite Rob's wizardry, the comment side (aka Old Yeller) couldn't keep up, and so we moved the comments and discussion here.
We'll miss your humor and gentle moderation, Rob. You were one of a kind."
Pogge is the 2nd Flu Wiki founder to die suddenly. Melanie Mattson died in 2008. While I did not know pogge very well, I had several email exchanges with him in the early flublogia days of 2006/07. He was very professional in his manner and supportive of FluTrackers.
Thank you pogge for everything, and best wishes to his family and friends.
Thank you to Bronco Bill for logging onto FluTrackers to send me a message about pogge's death. Best wishes to the team at Flu Wiki.
