    An additional deaths due to influenza A/H1N1

    VietNamNet Bridge ? Another person has died of swine flu, HCM City's Department of Health announced yesterday, September 8.

    It was the third death in HCM City and the fourth in Viet Nam since A/H1N1 flu broke out on May 31.

    The 51-year-old man living in Binh Chanh district, who suffered from kidney failure, heart failure, respiratory failure and pneumonia, was also suffering from a high temperature. He was rushed to Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital in District 10 for treatment.

    The man tested positive for the A/H1N1 virus and he died at the hospital on Monday evening after receiving emergency aid and treatment.

    According to the department's report released yesterday, HCM City had another 93 patients infected with the A/H1N1 flu virus, raising the total number of patients infected with the flu to 1,789.

    On the same day, the city also discovered one new H1N1 flu cluster, at Hiep Binh High School in Thu Duc district.

    To date, Viet Nam has counted 3,950 cases of swine flu, four of whom died and 3,249 have been discharged from hospitals. The remainder are in stable condition under observation.
