The funding, worth nearly US$1.5 million, will help the Hue Medicine and Pharmaceuticals University build the facility in ThuaThien- Hue province.
The institute will be named for Carlos Urbani, an Italian doctor who died after contracting SARS while working to eradicate the disease from Vietnam in 2003.
The institute aims to offer improved respiratory treatment and develop research and studies on Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and the H5N1 bird flu virus. http://www.thanhniennews.com/healthy...8&newsid=31157
