    Influenza Update
     Twenty nine lab-confirmed influenza deaths have been reported for the 2015-2016 season to date, including one
    pediatric death.
     During week 10, 519 specimens were tested by the World Health Organization/National Respiratory and Enteric
    Virus Surveillance System (WHO/NREVSS) collaborating laboratories in Washington, with 111 specimens positive
    for influenza. Fifty five specimens were positive for influenza B, 43 were positive for influenza A (H1N1), 12 were
    positive for influenza A (subtyping not performed), and one was positive for influenza A (H3N2).
     During week 10, the proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI) was 1.1 percent, at the baseline of
    1.1 percent.
     Influenza is characterized as regional in Washington.

       Thirty seven lab-confirmed influenza deaths have been reported for the 2015-2016 season to date, including one
      pediatric death.
       During week 11, 595 specimens were tested by the World Health Organization/National Respiratory and Enteric
      Virus Surveillance System (WHO/NREVSS) collaborating laboratories in Washington, with 121 specimens positive
      for influenza. Fifty two specimens were positive for influenza B, 39 were positive for influenza A (H1N1), 27 were
      positive for influenza A (subtyping not performed), and three were positive for influenza A (H3N2).
       During week 11, the proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI) was 1.1 percent, at the baseline of
      1.1 percent.

         Forty three lab-confirmed influenza deaths have been reported for the 2015-2016 season to date, including one
        pediatric death.
         During week 12, 202 specimens were tested by the World Health Organization/National Respiratory and Enteric
        Virus Surveillance System (WHO/NREVSS) collaborating laboratories in Washington, with 44 specimens positive
        for influenza. Twenty specimens were positive for influenza B, 12 were positive for influenza A (H1N1) and 12 were
        positive for influenza A (subtyping not performed).
         During week 12, the proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI) was 1.9 percent, above the
        baseline of 1.1 percent.
         Influenza is characterized as regional in Washington.

          for influenza. Thirty eight specimens were positive for influenza B, 23 were positive for influenza A (H1N1), 22
          were positive for influenza A (subtyping not performed), and 4 were positive for influenza A (H3N2).

             Fifty eight lab-confirmed influenza deaths have been reported for the 2015-2016 season to date, including one
            pediatric death.
             During week 14, 426 specimens were tested by the World Health Organization/National Respiratory and Enteric
            Virus Surveillance System (WHO/NREVSS) collaborating laboratories in Washington, with 56 specimens positive
            for influenza. Thirty one specimens were positive for influenza B, 10 were positive for influenza A (H1N1), 10 were
            positive for influenza A (subtyping not performed), and 5 were positive for influenza A (H3N2).
             During week 14, the proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI) was 1.0 percent, below the baseline
            of 1.1 percent.
             Influenza is characterized as regional in Washington.

               Sixty lab-confirmed influenza deaths have been reported for the 2015-2016 season to date, including one pediatric
              death.
               During week 15, 466 specimens were tested by the World Health Organization/National Respiratory and Enteric
              Virus Surveillance System (WHO/NREVSS) collaborating laboratories in Washington, with 52 specimens positive
              for influenza. Twenty eight specimens were positive for influenza B, 14 were positive for influenza A (H1N1), 5
              were positive for influenza A (subtyping not performed), and 5 were positive for influenza A (H3N2).
               During week 15, the proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI) was 0.8 percent, below the baseline
              of 1.1 percent.
               Influenza is characterized as local in Washington.
