Memphis, TN - 12 year-old Mary Gwendolyn "Gwen" Terry passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from complications of H1N1, otherwise known as the swine <NOBR id=itxt_nobr_1_0 style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 100%; COLOR: darkgreen">flu</NOBR>.
According to Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, Terry had underlying health issues. Terry's obituary mentions she was a graduate of the special education program at Kingsbury Elementary School and attended Shrine School.
Visitation will be 2:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, September 28 at Idlewild Presbyterian Church with services to follow at 4:00 p.m.
The family requests memorials be sent to the Special Education <NOBR id=itxt_nobr_4_0 style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal; FONT-SIZE: 100%; COLOR: darkgreen">Department</NOBR> at Kingsbury Elementary School, UCP of the Mid-South, Shelby Residential and Vocational Services or Idlewild Presbyterian Church.
Canale Funeral Directors is in charge of the funeral.
