    ...Friday the Allegheny County Health Department announced the death of a 78-year-old man who died last week from the flu.

    Thursday the Health Department said a 55-year-old man died from the flu three weeks ago.

    Health officials are now testing to see if the man who died a week ago had the H3N2 strain which is particularly deadly, especially in the elderly and people with compromised immune systems...

    Three people in Allegheny County have died from the flu this season, county Health Department officials said Wednesday at Board of Health meeting.

    The Health Department learned of the latest death, a 77-year-old woman, last week, said Dr. Kristen Mertz, the department's medical epidemiologist. The woman had underlying medical conditions, Mertz said...

      PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ? We are only halfway through flu season and seven deaths have already been reported in Allegheny County.

      They all range in age from 55 to 100, both men and women. Experts say everyone who died had underlying medical conditions...

        PITTSBURGH (AP) ? The Allegheny County Health Department says 15 people have now died from the flu in the Pittsburgh area, but that this season's outbreak seems to be slowing down.

        All of the victims were at least 55 and most had other health problems. Fifteen people died last flu season, and more deaths are possible this season...
