Flu outbreak kills seven Lane County residents in less than a month

Seven elderly Lane County residents have died of an influenza-like illness since mid-December, the county Health and Human Services department said Friday.
The department warned of a flu outbreak and urged residents to get influenza vaccines. In a statement, health officials said 11 outbreaks of ?influenza-like illness? have been reported in the last 30 days, with seven deaths. Six of the outbreaks and four of the deaths have been reported in the last week...
