    Health officials: Two more Oklahomans have died from the flu

    OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Authorities say two other Oklahomans have died as a result of the flu.

    Officials with the Oklahoma State Department of Health announced this week that 28 Oklahoma patients had been hospitalized with the flu, bringing the total number of hospitalizations to 141 since Sept. 1.

    In October, experts reported the first victim to die from the virus this season.

    Now, health experts say two other Oklahomans have died from the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to three since flu season began on Sept. 1.

    The death was reported between Oct. 20 to 26 and is the first death since Sept. 1, 2019.

    The death was reported in Tulsa County in a patient who was 65 years of age or older.
