    School Absence - H1N1

    KXMBTV Bismarck

Bismarck students will not be penalized if they have to miss school because they are sick...

It's in response to the anticipated outbreak of H1N1.

Bismarck Pulic Schools will suspend the test exemption portion of the attenDance incentive policy for the first semester.

Normally students at Bismarck High and Century who have two unexcused absences or less per semester do not have to take final tests in all of their classes.

The CDC recommends students and others stay home if they have a fever of 100 degrees or higher and a persistent cough that could be Flu-related.

They should stay home for at least 24 hours or until they no longer have a fever or other flu related symptoms.
