    ▪ New Mexico ILI activity is currently 5.7% which is above the
    national baseline of 2.2%
    ▪ US ILI is 5.0% which is above the national baseline of 2.2%
    ▪ Influenza activity is above the NM baseline of 2.6% in all five
    health regions
    ▪ There was PCR confirmed lab activity from the Scientific
    Laboratory Division (SLD) in all New Mexico health regions
    ▪ No new influenza outbreaks were reported this week

    40 adult flu deaths reported

    The first flu cases of the year have been reported in New Mexico, the Department of Health said Tuesday.

    Four cases of the flu were reported at a health care facility in Bernalillo County. One 90-year-old woman died of causes suspected to be flu-related, and another 82-year-old man was hospitalized as a result of the outbreak, the department said in a news release.
