5 confirmed dead in flu outbreak; first deaths in New Mexico this season

The state Department of Health says five people have died so far in New Mexico from the flu.
The deaths, which the department reported Thursday, are the first in the state confirmed to be from the virus.
The deaths reported were a 91 year-old woman and a 94 year-old woman from Rio Arriba County, a 67 year-old woman from Bernalillo County, a 57 year-old woman from Lea County and a 56 year-old man from Chaves County.
