NEW CITY ? Hackensack University Medical Center in Bergen County, N.J., has treated five patients for confirmed cases of the H1N1 form of influenza, officials said. There have been no cases of that form of influenza in New York, the state Department of Health said. Statewide in New York, there have been 315 confirmed cases of the H3 form of the flu. Flu outbreaks generally peak in January and February, but the disease has been reported as late as May. The flu vaccine is still widely available.
