    * Activity Influenza-like illness and acute respiratory illness were the same or similar compared to the previous week at 0.1% and 1.9% of patient visits, respectively.
    * Pneumonia and influenza-related deaths accounted for 5.7% of deaths, which was below the epidemic threshold of 10.5% for week 44.
    * One respiratory specimen was submitted for laboratory testing during week 44, which was negative.
    * NH reported ?no activity? for week 44.

    * For week 44 (10/27/13?11/2/13), 5.7% of all deaths recorded in NH were reported as due to P&I. This is below the epidemic threshold for week 44 (10.5%).

    *Pneumonia and influenza-related deaths accounted for 6.6% of deaths, which was below the epidemic threshold of 10.2% for week 45.

    *There were no respiratory specimens submitted for laboratory testing during week 45.

    *NH reported ?no activity? for week 45.

    * For week 45 (11/03/13?11/09/13), 6.6% of all deaths recorded in NH were reported as due to P&I. This is below the epidemic threshold for week 45 (10.2%).

      ? Two respiratory specimens were submitted for laboratory testing during week 46, and both were negative.

      ? For week 46 (11/10/13?11/16/13), 7.3% of all deaths recorded in NH were reported as due to P&I. This is below the epidemic threshold for week 46 (16.5%).

        Summary MMWR Week 47 Activity:
        * Influenza-like illness and acute respiratory illness were the same or slightly decreased compared to the previous week at 0.2% and 1.7% of patient visits, respectively.
        * Pneumonia and influenza-related deaths accounted for 5.5% of deaths, which was below the epidemic threshold of 12.5% for week 47.
        * Six respiratory specimens were submitted for laboratory testing during week 47, and one was positive for 2009 influenza A (H1N1). Five were negative.

        For week 47 (11/17/13?11/23/13), 0.2% of patient visits to NH ILINet participating providers were due to ILI, based on 26 providers reporting 4,281 patient visits, which is the same as week 46 (0.2%). In AHEDD for week 47, 1.7% of patient visits to hospital emergency departments were due to ARI, based on 25 hospitals reporting a total of 10,169 patient encounters, which is a slight decrease compared to week 46 (1.9%).


        For week 47 (11/17/13?11/23/13), 5.5% of all deaths recorded in NH were reported as due to P&I. This is below the epidemic threshold for week 47 (12.5%).

          ? Pneumonia and influenza-related deaths accounted for 5.3% of deaths, which was below the epidemic threshold of 11.1% for week 48.
          ? Ten respiratory specimens were submitted for laboratory testing during week 48, and one was positive for 2009 influenza A (H1N1). Nine were negative.

          Outpatient Illness Surveillance:
          For week 48 (11/24/13?11/30/13), 0.2% of patient visits to NH ILINet participating providers were due to ILI, based on 21 providers reporting 2,272 patient visits, which is the same as week 47 (0.2%). In AHEDD for week 48, 1.7% of patient visits to hospital emergency departments were due to ARI, based on 25 hospitals reporting a total of 9,563 patient encounters, which is the same as week 47 (1.7%).

          Pneumonia & Influenza Mortality:
          For week 48 (11/24/13?11/30/13), 5.3% of all deaths recorded in NH were reported as due to P&I. This is below the epidemic threshold for week 48 (11.1%).

            For week 49 (12/01/13?12/07/13), 0.1% of patient visits to NH ILINet participating providers were due to ILI, based on 19 providers reporting 3,576 patient visits, which is similar compared to week 48 (0.2%).

            In AHEDD for week 49, 1.8% of patient visits to hospital emergency departments were due to ARI, based on 25 hospitals reporting a total of 9,720 patient encounters, which is similar compared to week 48 (1.7%).

            Pneumonia and influenza-related deaths accounted for 7.2% of deaths, which was below the epidemic threshold of 10.8% for week 49.

            Fifteen respiratory specimens were submitted for laboratory testing during week 49. Fourteen were negative and one was reported as an invalid result.

              Activity Influenza-like illness and acute respiratory illness were similar or slightly increased compared to the previous week at 0.2% and 2.0% of patient visits, respectively.

              Pneumonia and influenza-related deaths accounted for 7.3% of deaths, which was below the epidemic threshold of 12.5% for week 50.

              Twenty-eight respiratory specimens were submitted for laboratory testing during week 50. Twelve were positive for 2009 influenza A (H1N1) and three for influenza B. Thirteen were negative.

                Flu activity for week 52 was reported as ?regional?, and will be included in CDC?s update for week 52.

                Summary:
                Influenza-like illness and acute respiratory illness were similar or the same compared to the previous week at 0.1% and 2.0% of patient visits, respectively.

                Pneumonia and influenza-related deaths accounted for 6.8% of deaths, which was below the epidemic threshold of 13.1% for week 51.

                Sixteen respiratory specimens were submitted for laboratory testing during week 51. Five were positive for 2009 influenza A (H1N1). Ten were negative and one had an inconclusive result.

                  Influenza-like illness and acute respiratory illness were decreased and increased compared to the previous week at 0.3% and 3.2% of patient visits, respectively.

                  Twenty-five respiratory specimens were submitted for laboratory testing during week 1. Eighteen were positive for 2009 influenza A (H1N1) and one for influenza A (H3). Six were negative.
