BOSTON ? Health officials say the number of confirmed swine flu cases in Massachusetts has jumped to 636 after they identified 107 new infections.
The state Public Health Department said today two of the newly confirmed cases were hospitalized, raising the total of hospitalizations to 34. That accounts for 5 percent of victims since the outbreak began.
Roughly half of the newly confirmed cases were reported in Suffolk County. Middlesex County reported 31 cases.
Barnstable, Berkshire, Bristol, Essex, Hampden, Nantucket, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Worcester counties all reported new cases
