Scott was having dizzy spells, at times blacking out. He was hospitalized in Virginia days before Christmas. His memory faded. Finally, a diagnosis, doctors believed he lacked the vitamin thiamine. He was always a light eater. Now, there was hope that supplements could restore his mind.
But he was too weak to fight off the flu. Scott died Jan. 12 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
?I really thought he was going to come home, sit with me, and watch the boats again,? Sally said, looking out the kitchen windows to Rock Creek.
Scott?s cause of death has not been confirmed by county officials. The Anne Arundel County Department of Health has no confirmed cases of flu-related deaths this season, spokeswoman Elin Jones said...
