SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) ? Mom is sticking close by.
That's because her little 5-year-old girl is at Sutton Children's Hospital, diagnosed with H1N1 ? better known as ?swine flu' ? the mother, Brenda McCowan tells the Marshall News Messenger.
Through the hospital, McCowan tells KSLA News 12's Denise Middleton Wednesday morning that her child is ?OK'.
This would be the second case of H1N1 reported in the region. The first involved a 13-year-old Elysian Fields student Trenton Lindsey who later died at LSU Hospital in Shreveport.
