Hawaii 2012-13 Season: Weeks 46-36 (No New Pediatric Deaths; Total Two)
ILI: 2.5% (ILI visits were higher than the historical baseline in Hawaii); majority 5-24 years old
~28% positive for influenza; majority A/H3
P&I deaths: 9.7%
ILI: 1% ( lower than the historical baseline); majority 5-24 years old
~33% positive for influenza; majority A

Update to above report week 4 from HDOH
One influenza-associated pediatric death was reported to HDOH during week 4.
ILI: 5% (ILI visits were higher than the historical baseline in Hawaii)
~95% positive for influenza: predominantly A
There were two ILI clusters reported to HDOH during week 4. Both occurred in the county of Honolulu. One occurred in a long-term healthcare facility and was not associated with an influenza virus, and one occurred in a school which was also not associated with an influenza virus. For the 2012–13 influenza season there have been 8 ILI clusters reported to HDOH. Four were associated with an influenza A virus, one was a probable influenza B case, and 5 were not associated with influenza.

ILI Cluster Activity: There were two ILI clusters reported to HDOH during week 5. Both occurred in schools and were not laboratory confirmed. For the 2012–13 influenza season there have been 12 ILI clusters reported to HDOH. Four were associated with an influenza A virus, one was a probable influenza B case, and 7 were not associated with influenza.
