ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
It was supposed to be a fun family trip from Philadelphia to Orlando for Jaylea Heim, 7, and her family, but it soon turned into a long stay at Florida Hospital for Children.
Jaylea was diagnosed with H1N1 and pneumonia. She and her family did not get flu shots.
Doctors operated on Thursday in an attempt to clear out the fluid in and around her lungs.
Her prognosis is still vague, but hope for the little girl's recovery has gone viral.
