    Flu in Connecticut
Here are the statistics on flu in Connecticut this season, through Oct. 25, from the state Department of Public Health.

There were 63 positive flu reports for this season, and flu cases had popped up in six of the state's eight counties.

New Haven County had the most cases to date, with 34 positive flu reports. Fairfield County had the second-highest, with 13 cases.

36 patients had been hospitalized with laboratory-confirmed influenza.

Last flu season, there were 7,202 positive flu reports, 1,983 flu-related hospitalizations and 46 flu-associated deaths in the state.

"We are in this breathing space before it happens. We do not know how long that breathing space is going to be. But, if we are not all organizing ourselves to get ready and to take action to prepare for a pandemic, then we are squandering an opportunity for our human security"- Dr. David Nabarro

There is a mismatch to the strain of H3N2. :/
Apparently the vaccine isn't conferring protection.
