  • North Carolina %ILI Week 39

    Source: http://www.epi.state.nc.us/epi/gcdc/pdf/flu0809.pdf

There are several charts in this link. It is interesting to note that in NC, as well as some other states, the %ILI for sentinal providers has leveled off, but the %ILI for emergency departments have increased.

    Any thought on this trend?

    they claim it's week40 ?
others also have week 40, which is CDC's week 39.

We need a worldwide week's norm

If I'm not mistaken, I think that they mean that Week 40 began on October 4, which would be consistent with CDC.

          NC week 39 ILI

I think that their bottom scale is offset by one.

Only 44 sentinels reported this week. That's the lowest figure listed historically but may be added back dated in future weeks (as happened in Texas last week).

However Hospital/ER figures seem complete and thus likely more accurately showing the trend.
