Flu Medication Released From Strategic National Stockpile

    January 23, 2023
There have been an estimated 15 million cases of flu this season, and reported shortages of antiviral medications, so the Biden administration announced it will release millions of doses of Tamiflu from the Strategic National Stockpile.

uhhh... the report said, "currently all but seven states are classified as 'high' or 'very high' according to the CDC's tracking of respiratory viruses"... they are a few weeks behind as the influenza map, which is the only map that matters when it comes to tamiflu, has no area as 'very high' and only New York City, DC, Puerto Rico and three states as 'high'. Looks like the timing of the release from the strategic reserve was just in time... NOT!!! . You have to go back to the Dec 31st map to meet the reported conditions...

so... this is just a LATE report, or something they just picked up as the announcement of the release was made back around Dec 21st... I guess weather.com isn't the best place for "breaking news".

No offense was taken, longshots. It was surreal seeing that story there. Nothing has been going on in my state lately with the flu. I wondered if the government was diverting supply again like they did with masks. That would have been a bad sign.
Well, Weather.com's next story is better - https://weather.com/science/space/vi...waii-telescope
