Protecting Yourself from Avian Influenza
Avian Influenza is a disease that spreads seasonally among wild birds, and can cause serious illness among domestic birds, including backyard flocks.
Bird-Flu spreads among birds, animals, and people through airborne transmission or by contact with infected animals or contaminated objects.
Individuals at increased risk of encountering sick birds include hunters, poultry raisers, and those living near bodies of water. If you find a sick bird, avoid contact and call your veterinarian!
