Bill proposes to restrict travelers from entering Guam if possibly exposed to outbreak
Sens. Frank Blas Jr. and Eddie Calvo introduced legislation that would restrict travelers from entering Guam if they came from areas where there?s a ?health-related? outbreak ? as determined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control or the World Health Organization. They also proposed that anyone who enters Guam from an outbreak ? or epidemic-stricken area ? must show a health clearance or be quarantined.
Their proposal stems from the recent confirmation of four deaths out of five drug-resistant tuberculosis cases in Chuuk state, in the Federated States of Micronesia.
