The LPAI detection event in Washington County, Arkansas was limited to one premises.
- Backyard poultry were submitted to two rounds of testing with negative results.
- Cleaning and disinfection of affected premises was completed on 21 June 2008.
- Environmental testing of the single affected premises yielded negative results. All quarantines and hold orders have been released.
- All enhanced surveillance activities and epidemiological investigations have been completed.
- All test results from samples obtained from backyard poultry and commercial operations were negative for LPAI.
- All movement restrictions within the 10-km zone have been lifted.
This LPAI H7N3 event is considered closed.
