The National Emergency System (Sinae) published this Tuesday night its update report on the coronavirus in Uruguay. A new case of COVID-19 was recorded today. This is a person in Montevideo who came to Uruguay from abroad, said Sinae. As of Monday, there had been no case of the new coronavirus.
This Tuesday 761 analyzes were processed. Since the health emergency was declared, 54,486 examinations have been carried out.
Since March 13, 849 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 801 have already recovered and 24 died. This Tuesday, the Sinae indicated in its report that "the Philippine citizen crew member of the cruise ship Greg Mortimer, who to date has not been registered as deceased in the territory, for reasons of legal interpretation, was categorized as deceased on national territory." This explains why today the Sinae bulletin reports one more death than yesterday.
Currently there are 24 active cases, that is, people who are studying the disease; three of them are in intensive care.
