Peru: Four children and one adult die of influenza H1N1 in La Convention
Four children and an adult of 32 years of age died of influenza H1N1 in the native community of Montetony, district of Echarati, cusque?a province of the Convention. This was confirmed by the director of the Health Network of the Convention, July Bejar Cuba, who noted that personnel from the Ministry of Health is directed to the area with medicines for the affected and thus avoid a pandemic. It was reported that influenza could have been brought by people who came to the native communities in other parts of the country.
