The Director of Juan Noe Hospital in Arica, Magdalena Gardilcic, confirmed the death of a 57-year-old patient by the H1N1 virus.
The death happened some days ago, but the authority confirmed it recently after receiving studies scientists.
' We can only speak of confirmed cases. I have to be responsible for the information I give to the community. We can not base our information on suspicion ', said Gardilcic.
The Director of the hospital in Arica, also reported that in the Region of Arica and Parinacota is recorded seven confirmed cases with this type of virus, of which six have already been given high.
