    Tr?s Lagoas registers second death for H1N1 in less than a week

    Four days after Tr?s Lagoas registered the first death due to Influenza A type H1N1, the municipality again contributes another death to the virus. The second victim is an 83-year-old man who was hospitalized at Hospital Auxiliadora and died on Sunday, April 28. A 48-year-old man died the previous Wednesday at Cassems Hospital.

    The information was sent to the press by the Epidemiological Surveillance Sector of the Health and Sanitation Surveillance Board.

    SES confirms 3 deaths from flu in MS

    The State Department of Health (SES) reported three deaths from influenza in Mato Grosso do Sul since the beginning of the year. According to the epidemiological bulletin, there were three deaths in Tr?s Lagoas, distant 339 kilometers from Campo Grande, and one in Corumb?, 420 kilometers from the capital. The latter was confirmed recently by the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) of Tr?s Lagoas. The case is about H1N1 flu. The death was recorded last Sunday (28), at the Hospital Auxiliadora and is an 83-year-old man. The first recorded case in the city occurred last week. The victim was a 48-year-old man who died at Cassems Hospital.
    There is also a death in investigation of a resident of the municipality of Bataypor?, distant 313 kilometers from the Capital. The suspicion is that Ilda do Nascimento Neves Uma, 62, died of H1N1 last Friday after being hospitalized for eight days in a hospital in Nova Andradina, a city 301 kilometers from the capital.
    According to SES, 312 cases have already been reported. Twelve have already been confirmed, being 11 by Influenza H1N1 and one by H3N2.

      Influenza A H1N1 in Tr?s Lagoas rises to 3

      The number of deaths caused by influenza A type H1N1 in Tr?s Lagoas rose to three. The third death in the municipality was registered last Wednesday (1st) and the victim was a 64-year-old man who was serving time at the Tr?s Lagoas Medium Security Criminal Establishment. The Epidemiological Surveillance Sector of the Health and Sanitation Surveillance Board confirmed the death by means of a press release, but the State Agency of Administration of the Penitentiary System of Mato Grosso do Sul (Agepen) had already confirmed to JPNews about the death earlier .

      The first death was recorded on April 24. The victim was a 48-year-old man. The following Sunday (April 28), an elderly man of 83 died at Auxiliadora Hospital. Three days later, the municipality counts again a death by flu Influenza A type H1N1.

      So far, 12 people have been diagnosed with the disease in Tr?s Lagoas. In addition to the three deaths, 9 adults (seven men and two women) and two children (a 4-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl) are being treated.

        H1N1 becomes fourth victim in eastern state

        The fourth death due to the H1N1 virus was confirmed by the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS) of Tr?s Lagoas, through the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance of the Health and Sanitation Surveillance Directorate, at the end of last Tuesday (7).           Sixth flu death in the state is recorded in Aquidauana

          Sixth flu death in Mato Grosso do Sul was confirmed by SES (State Department of Health) on Wednesday. The new death in 2019 was recorded in the municipality of Aquidauana, 139 km away from Campo Grande.
