  • Chuquisaca on alert for likely increase in cases of influenza A/H1N1

The Department of Health Services Chuquisaca (SITES) believes that in the next day will continue the increase of cases of influenza A/H1N1 in the city of Sucre, as it believes that the twenty-four confirmed cases will increase in the extent of the contact that these people had with their family and social environment. The SEDES surveillance has increased with the opening of checkpoints in the air and ground terminals of the capital, where medical staff tries to detect patients with symptoms of the disease. The director of that service, Gilka Guerrero reported that laboratory reports are still positive by the tests performed on persons suspected of having contracted the disease, so it was foreseeable that the number is increasing in the following days. Immediate measures taken by the SEDES began to shift to personal health and air bus terminal to prevent people infected with H1N1 flu arriving in the city, and after failing a quick review, you can make contact with other people, so they are transferred to a medical center where a special room has been installed by trained personnel.
