19,073 cases of IRA's and 96 of pneumonia in Ayacucho
The Diresa declared "green alert" in the region

This sad loss was reported in the community of San Miguel de Manchiri, Carapo district in the province of Huancasancos because parents do not detect in time the warning signs of pneumonia, said the head of the office of epidemiology at the address Regional Health (Diresa) Ayacucho, Tania G?mez C?rdenas.
"The boy died while being transferred to the health center Cangallo province," said the specialist.
On the other hand, to counter the phenomenon of cold spell, the Diresa declared a "green alert" to all health facilities and initiated the campaign for the promotion and dissemination of preventive measures to cases of IRA's and pneumonia.
Is also underway to supply medicines, antibiotics, syrups and pills to treat that mainly affects children under 5 years and older.
It is recalled that in 2010, eight children died during the season cold spell in the region.

Health regional manager of Arequipa, Hector Flores Hinojosa said the increase represents a change in the numbers of care for children under five years and reached 195 cases in children older than five years 393 cases, representing a total of 588 cases treated, Flores said Hinojosa.
