The Government of Abdo Ben?tez has been prolonging the total isolation measures, which in principle end on April 19, as a way to avoid an expansion of the cases and thereby gain time for the precarious health network to strengthen before COVID-19

Between Monday and Tuesday the movement of workers in the food sector, civil construction and the logistics chain were authorized, subject to prior authorization, as well as the movement of vehicles based on the latest registration number.

The training "is aimed at specialists in internal medicine, pulmonology, emergentology, anesthesiology and family medicine as well as nurses (...) in order to optimize the services currently being provided in hospital centers during this pandemic", the ministry reported in a statement.

Although most of the cases presented have mild symptoms, a percentage required hospitalization. Of the 11 people who entered intensive care, only three were able to survive.
