Bolivia reports only one active monkeypox patient

In Cochabamba there were 15 cases, La Paz 9, Oruro 1, Potosà 1 and Chuquisaca 1.

The Ministry of Health reported that currently only one active monkeypox patient and 262 people who recovered from the disease, a report supported by the official record during the day of Tuesday, January 24.
The accumulated cases add up to 263, of which 90% correspond to Santa Cruz. In Cochabamba there were 15 cases, La Paz 9, Oruro 1, Potosà 1 and Chuquisaca 1. In the departments of Tarija, Beni and Pando no confirmed case was registered.
Monkeypox is a viral zoonosis characterized by a rash or skin lesions that are usually concentrated on the face, palms of the hands, and soles of the feet.
