    According to statistical projections, the country will register approximately 28,000 cases of coronavirus until the end of the month; that is to say, it would almost triple the total number of cases it has to date.

    The national chief of epidemiology, Virgilio Prieto, stated this Wednesday, in an interview with Correo del Sur Digital, that the forecasts for the increase in positives of covid-19 by the end of the month are around 28,000.

    According to the official figures confirmed until the night of this Tuesday, June 2, the country has a total of 10,991 positive cases and 376 deaths, regarding this last parameter, Prieto clarified that there are no statistics as it depends on the moment in which grasp the casuistry.

    RECORD OF DEATHS

    Bolivia started June setting a record of daily deaths. On Monday the country registered 30 more deaths, while yesterday, Tuesday, 33 with 376 deaths from covid-19.

    “We have problems in two departments and specifically in three cities; however, La Paz and Cochabamba have increased the number of deaths (…) regardless of the risk conditions that are determined, mayors and governments will have to make decisions to encapsulate specific neighborhoods, areas or districts, ”said Prieto, defending that the rate The country's mortality rate is the lowest in the region and that Santa Cruz has one of the lowest rates in the world.

    According to reports, the departments with the most deaths to date are Santa Cruz (184) and Beni (98), however, this region is one of the least populated in the country.
