The Health Ministry reported this Sunday that in the last 24 hours, 5469 new infections were registered and that there were 66 deaths. With these data, the total number of infected since the pandemic began amounted to 294,569, while in the entire country 5703 people died.
Since the last report issued, 46 new deaths have been registered. 30 men, 8 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 5 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 3 residents in the province of C?rdoba; 1 resident in the province of Entre R?os; 11 residents in the province of Jujuy; 1 resident in the province of Mendoza; 1 resident in the province of Salta; and 16 women; 7 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 1 resident in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 1 resident in the province of Chaco; 1 resident in the province of C?rdoba; 5 residents in the province of Jujuy; and 1 resident in the province of Salta.
In the morning, the Health Ministry reported that 20 deaths had been registered. 13 men, 8 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 2 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 1 resident in the province of Chaco; 1 resident in the province of Entre R?os; 1 resident in the province of Mendoza; and 6 women; 5 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 1 resident in the province of Chaco.
To date, the total number of registrations is 211,702 people. Until yesterday, 17,756 new samples were taken and since the beginning of the outbreak 966,926 diagnostic tests for this disease were carried out, which is equivalent to 21,308.8 samples per million inhabitants. Meanwhile, the number of cases discarded until yesterday is 543,094 (by laboratory and by clinical / epidemiological criteria).
Of the total cases confirmed today, 3,117 are from the province of Buenos Aires, 972 from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, 272 from Jujuy, 210 from Mendoza, 160 from Santa Fe, 141 from C?rdoba, 102 from Entre R?os, 92 from Salta , 86 from R?o Negro, 68 from Chaco, 57 from Tierra del Fuego, 42 from Santa Cruz, 42 from Tucum?n, 34 from La Rioja, 33 from Santiago del Estero, 27 from Neuqu?n, 9 from Chubut, 3 from Corrientes, 1 from Formosa and 1 from La Pampa.
During the morning report, the Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti, pointed out that according to the daily average of the last seven days, a total of 6756 cases per day, “we have seen that there is less and less the number of cases that the AMBA region contributes, we are at 80 percent ”.
“Few provinces did not report new cases. We do not have new areas of community transmission, but extended community transmission continues in a significant number of provinces, ”said the official.
Vizzotti also reported that the areas that continue in preventive and compulsory social isolation (ASPO) are the AMBA, which includes the City of Buenos Aires and 35 municipalities in the Buenos Aires suburbs, plus four departments of Jujuy, the cities of Tartagal, in Salta; R?o Gallegos, in Santa Cruz; and R?o Grande, in Tierra del Fuego, as well as El Chamical and La Rioja capital, and Santiago del Estero capital and La Banda.
