  • Brazil - There were 3,950 COVID-19 deaths recorded in 24 hours, a new record.- March 31, 2021



    Brazil recorded 3,368 deaths by Covid in the last 24 hours and totaled this Saturday (27) 310,694 deaths. With that, the moving average of deaths in the country in the last 7 days reached 2,548, a new record since the beginning of the pandemic .

    Compared to the average of 14 days ago, the variation was + 39% , indicating an upward trend in deaths from the disease.



    This is what a new survey by the media consortium shows about the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil, based on data from the state health departments, consolidated at 8:00 pm on Saturday.

    There are already 66 days in a row with the moving average of deaths above the thousand mark; by the twentieth day the mark appears above 1.5 thousand; and the country now completes 11 days with this average above the 2 thousand dead per day.

    In confirmed cases, since the beginning of the pandemic 12,489,232 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus , with 81,909 of these confirmed on the last day . The moving average in the last 7 days was 77,128 new diagnoses per day, a new record since the beginning of the pandemic . This represents a variation of + 16% in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which indicates an upward trend in diagnoses .

    Brazil recorded 1,969 deaths from Covid in the last 24 hours and this Monday (29) totaled 314,268 deaths. With that, the moving average of deaths in the country in the last 7 days reached 2,655 , a new record since the beginning of the pandemic for the 4th consecutive day . Compared to the average of 14 days ago, the variation was + 34% , indicating an upward trend in deaths from the disease .

      With 3,668 deaths from Covid in 24 hours, Brazil again hit the worst mark of the pandemic . In all, the country has almost 318,000 victims of the disease. The moving average of deaths in the last 7 days reached 2,728 , the worst for the 5th consecutive day.

        Brazil registers almost 4 thousand deaths by Covid on the day and closes the worst month of the pandemic with 66.8 thousand deaths


        The country accounted for 12,753,258 cases and 321,886 deaths by Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the balance of the consortium of press vehicles. There were 3,950 deaths recorded in 24 hours, a new record. March had more than double the deaths of July 2020, the second worst month of the pandemic.

        País contabilizou 12.753.258 casos e 321.886 óbitos por Covid-19 desde o início da pandemia, segundo balanço do consórcio de veículos de imprensa. Foram 3.950 mortes registradas em 24 horas, um novo recorde. Março teve mais do que o dobro de mortes de julho de 2020, o 2º pior mês da pandemia.
