  • Folk remedy for riding basement of spiders

Recently I heard of a folk remedy for riding a basement of spiders. According to my source placing several Osage Oranges (see link below) on pans scattered throughout the basement will cause spiders to flee the area. I have no idea if this works or not.

Osage oranges grow on trees in temperate areas. They have been used as hedges to keep livestock corralled. They have nasty thorns that can harm livestock and anyone or anything else that messes with them. The fruit of the tree is not edible and usually just ends up making a mess on back country roads. Until now I had no idea that they had any other purpose.
We were put on this earth to help and take care of one another.
