    Hi,

I'll be travelling to Guam on 22nd Dec (i.e. next week). Can someone please let me know how safe is Guam? Is there any risk of picking up swine (H1N1) flu?

Get H1N1 vaccine at Yigo gym

        Pacific Daily News ? news@guampdn.com. ? January 8, 2010

Guam residents can go to an H1N1 mass vaccination on Jan.16, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at the Yigo gym, the Guam public health department announced yesterday.

The department has previously expressed concern that the public may be feeling that the H1N1 crisis has passed, though the virus is still active on the island, its press release states.

The department urges everyone in the community to protect themselves from this potentially deadly virus by getting immunized at one of the mass vaccinations.

Adults are asked to bring a picture ID and children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Guam - If you haven't gotten it done yet, it's a good idea to head over to the Micronesia Mall in Dededo tomorrow to get your dose of the H1N1 vaccine. If you're child is under the age of 9 and got a shot, keep in mind he or she needs to get a second dose.

Tomorrow's outreach event at the Mall is from 3 in the afternoon to 8 at night.
