Pandemic Influenza Related Pages
The Australian Health Management Plan for Pandemic Influenza (AHMPPI) outlines what the Commonwealth Government is doing and what the health sector, key stakeholder groups, organisations, the community and individuals can do to prepare for a pandemic. It builds on the original Australian Management Plan for Pandemic Influenza (AMPPI) which was released in June 2005, drawing on the latest expert epidemiological advice and on extensive consultations with the health sector, key industry sectors and the community.
The AHMPPI will be complemented by a series of technical annexes which will be released over the next 12 months.

Australian Management Plan for Pandemic Influenza - June 2005
The aim of this document is to provide a detailed guide for the Australian response to a pandemic influenza threat. The plan targets the wide range of people who will be involved in planning and responding to an influenza pandemic: health planners, public and clinical health care providers, border workers, state and territory health departments, essential service providers, and those involved in the media and communications.
