Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health, National Scientific Committee for Infectious Diseases about MERS-CoV

And on the history of epidemiological surveillance of the disease have included the report that the onset of the disease was recorded individual cases scattered or gathered a few cases between family members and there is no any transfer of infection, such as the case of Bisha and sporadic cases in Riyadh, and in April of the year 2013, appeared for the first time a cluster of cases in hospital Al-Ahsa province and between individuals with weakened immune systems have resulted in transmission of infection among some patients and then appeared in the eastern region recorded cases in the hospital, where Saudi Aramco has control over these cases that appeared in Al-Ahsa and Eastern.
During the second half of the month of March 2014 began the recorded cases in King Fahd Hospital in Jeddah, where cases reached in its entirety since that period, 26 cases in addition to the two previously recorded before that date.
