    Umrah Agents Must Monitor Health Of Pilgrims In Mekah - Jamil Khir

    BANGI, April 18 (Bernama) -- Umrah agents should monitor the health of their pilgrims to prevent them from getting infected with the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.

    He said umrah agents should ensure that pilgrims remained healthy while in Mekah and, if they had symptoms related to the virus, they should refer the cases to the nearest clinic or hospital.

    "They (the patients) should be referred to a hospital as soon as possible. Do not wait for them to return to Malaysia. The Saudi Arabian government provides hospitals for the pilgrims," he told reporters after opening the 3rd Malaysian Syarie Lawyers Convention in Bangi, Friday...
