San Luis Rio Colorado, April 23 .- health authorities continue with monitoring by the influenza A (H1N1) in the border, particularly in the cases that might be imported from the United States.
One year after the outbreak, the director of the General Hospital of this city, Sergio Barraza Kelly mentioned that the immediate response against the disease since April 2009, prevented a real pandemic.
"From the beginning he had good results thanks to the actions of hygiene and vaccination were conducted," said the official from the Ministry of Public Health (SSP) State.
He said the impact on the border was relatively minor, since only 36 cases were recorded, most of them imported from the American Union, as well as two deaths.
