  • Mexico: second death from seasonal flu confirmed

    The Ministry of Health of Mexico confirmed that almost 50 people are carriers of the influenza virus, while confirming the second death of the season caused by this virus. The death occurred in the state of Yucatan because of influenza type A (H1N1), while the first death occurred in the state of Jalisco, according to the report of the General Directorate of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health. As for people affected by influenza virus in this winter season 2016 -2017, 48 infected people are reported, which is already under medical treatment and supervision. The cases are divided as follows, 28 are for influenza type B, 11 for H1N1, 7 for influenza type A and two more for AH3-N2.

    Ministry of Health confirms 4 deaths due to influenza

    Mexico City .- The Ministry of Health reported that so far in the winter season, 4 deaths from influenza have been confirmed in the country, 3 per A (H1N1) and 1 per type A. In addition, indicated that there are 67 cases . Of these 67 cases, 34 of them correspond to influenza type B, 23 A (H1N1), 8 type A and 2 A (H3N2).

      Six killed by influenza in Mexico

      MEXICO CITY .- The Ministry of Health confirmed the sixth death due to influenza so far this winter and reported to almost 83 people carrying the virus. According to the Epidemiological Bulletin, during the influenza season 2016-2017 have been presented Six deaths from influenza, three of which occurred in Yucatan, one in Jalisco, one in Campeche, and one in the State of Mexico. Four deaths were due to influenza A (H1N1) and influenza A (2). The Secretariat Of Health warned that the entities with the highest number of confirmed cases of influenza during the season are Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Veracruz, Sinaloa and Tlaxcala. Of the 83 people carrying the virus, the Ministry of Health confirmed that 45 correspond to influenza type B, 26 of A (H1N1), 9 of influenza A and 3 of A (H3N2).
