IMSS patient did not die of influenza A H1N1, was type B
NEW LAREDO.-The death of the mothers of IMSS alleged victim of medical negligence by doctors of this institution, was due to influenza B (seasonal) and not the type A H1N1.
Based on medical findings that were made on this case, Dr. Jaime Gutierrez Emilio Serrano, head of the Sanitary Jurisdiction No. 5 cause of death confirmed that it was influenza, but not type A.
The Head of Local Health, acknowledged that regardless of this case, the fact that there had been a death from seasonal influenza, forcing the medical authorities to step up action.
On 5 July the 38 year old woman began to feel ill, with symptoms of influenza, for which he was taken to the Medical Unit 78 of the IMSS He was prescribed different medications, but continued unrest, so the August 7 was admitted to the Hospital de Zona No. 11, where it was applied to their income, the rapid test to detect this virus.

"The 400 cases of influenza have occurred in these less than 80 have been positive for the H1N1 virus type A, the rest is for seasonal influenza type B, some positives have come out with another type of bacteria," he said.
