    Mexico Death Toll from AH1N1 Flu Virus Up 23% in 1 Week

    MEXICO CITY ? A total of 166 people have died of the AH1N1 flu virus in Mexico so far this year, a figure that shows a 23-percent increase in deaths in one week, according to data released by health authorities.

    The total number of deaths from the AH1N1 flu virus between Jan. 1 and Feb. 16 this year was 135, with another 31 fatalities from Feb. 17 to Feb. 23, according to the Mexican Health Secretariat.

    The secretariat said in a communique on Friday that from Jan. 1 to Feb. 23, 2012, some 5,544 cases and 180 deaths were confirmed to have been caused by the three types of flu virus currently active in the country...

    City of M?xico. - The Secretary of Health brought 31 more cases of death for A/H1N1 in this week with regard to the previous one and 602 more cases of contagions, that is to say 166 deaths and five thousand 042 contagions in what it goes of 2012.

    MEXICO CITY (24/FEB/2012) .-The Secretary of Health (Ssa) informed that from January 1 until February 23 of this year five thousand 544 cases were confirmed by any of three types of virus of influenza and 180 deaths. The federal dependency added that of the whole of the notified cases five thousand 42 events and 166 deaths were caused by the human influenza A H1N1, because from the beginning of 2012 it predominates over this virus.
