    Haiti first reported infection of influenza A in MINUSTAH military

    The pandemic of human influenza has arrived in Haiti on Wednesday confirmed that the first three infections, according to official sources.

    In all three cases, two were in uniform, of Chilean nationality, the United Nations Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (MINUSTAH) and the other is a local resident of 23 years of age, reported on June 15 the Ministry of Health the country.

    The Haitian Minister of Health, Alex Larsen, told the press that the three are in "stable".

    MINUSTAH, for its part, reported that two soldiers who were in Chile has confirmed the presence of the virus A (H1N1) into Haiti earlier this month along with nine other people also suspected of being infected influenza A.

    Meanwhile local authorities concerned ensure that the national had not traveled abroad in recent months that were discarded and contacts of personnel of MINUSTAH and the Haitian people.

    So far, a total of 61 people have conducted tests to detect the virus A (H1N1) in foreign laboratories, Larsen said to ensure that Haiti has 14 hospitals able to analyze and diagnose the disease. (Xinhua)
