Reduced to zero infections with influenza A (H1N1) in Ciego de ?vila
Health personnel of Ciego de Avila Cuba continues with the strategy of prevention for maintaining zero cases associated with influenza A (H1N1).
Dr. Niurka Leon Echevarr?a, specialist in Hygiene and Epidemiology Center of the province, said it maintains strict surveillance of the disease, although people have not been reported with the virus in any of the 10 municipalities.
Echevarria de Leon called for increased sanitary hygienic measures designed by the Ministry of Public Health.
The Graduate Yipsy Gonzalez Borroto, adviser to the immunization program of the Provincial Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology, said that this achievement is also due to the effectiveness of the vaccine given to more than 11 000 inhabitants, belonging to risk groups.
